Munson Family Practice Residency
Program
The Munson Family Practice Residency Program integrates
osteopathic and allopathic medicine together, with the resources
of Munson Medical Center, a regional referral center repeatedly
named one of the Top
100 Hospitals in the country by Thomson. This dually accredited 5/5/5 program accepts both DO and
MD trainees.
This program is affiliated with the Michigan
State University College of Osteopathic Medicine
(MSUCOM) and with the Michigan
State University College of Human Medicine (MSUCHM).
This rural-based program is located in Traverse
City, Michigan and is structured to train physicians for rural
and small town practice. Ambulatory, hospital, and community based
training are utilized throughout the residency.
The American
Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredits the program
for Internship and Family Practice Residency Training. It is also
accredited by the Accreditation
Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)
for Family Practice Residency Training.
Application Procedure:
Both Allopathic and Osteopathic candidates must participate in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Applications will be periodically reviewed after July and candidates will be contacted and scheduled for interviews starting in September.
